Saxon Hot Water Systems went into liquidation in 2011. Their demise came about after their attempt to diversify into solar heating failed. As a result of the collapse, Saxon Hot Water Systems are no longer manufactured and they are now a shelf company owned by Rheem. Rheem is owned by a Japanese company called Paloma.

We have a large amount of spare parts which we use when servicing and repairing Saxon Hot Water Systems and can also retrofit parts to help get your hot water system running as it should. Please note: We do not sell parts individually.

Common Issues with Saxon Hot Water Systems

Saxon Copperflow Series and Solastar systems were widely popular in Australia before the companies collapse. As the system's age there are some common problems that arise with this particular brand of hot water system, including:

leaking hot water storage tank
Faulty pressure relief valve
General leaks to pipework
Pressure leaks in the copper coil
General rust and corrosion throughout the system
Faulty or failing thermostat
Burnt out heating element

Signs that your Saxon Hot Water System is starting to fail

One of the common signs your Saxon is starting to fail is the inability to generate hot water. You may notice a decreased amount of hot water, luke warm hot water or no hot water at all.

Another sign that the system is failing could be regular electrical shorts. Sometimes the system will trip the safety switch or fuse. This may be due to leaking water or faulty electrical components causing the failure.
